Before deciding whether to work remotely, you have to decide if you can get enough discipline over time, as well as the skills that make you an asset to your niche.
If you can do that, the benefits of working remotely will remove those drawbacks. Don't make the mistake of just jumping in because you only see the positive aspects of remote work externally, without the hard work behind the scenes.
